Client: Cambridge Enterprise
Design & Specification: Ralph & Smith
Project Overview
Workagile were proud to partner with Ralph & Smith on the refurbishment of the Hauser Forum building, University of Cambridge. As the Innovation Hub of the University, Cambridge Enterprise provided expertise throughout this endeavour, supporting research and innovation.
This project was inspired by the success of the IdeaSpace initiative earlier this year, which was used to draw inspiration for the interior of this new area. The aim was to create a more dynamic workspace that promoted movement and collaboration within the building, which Workagile contributed towards with the implementation of our MiiBox acoustic pods.

Design & Collaboration
Tasked with supporting their interior design vision, we provided carefully selected furniture that complemented the dynamic, collaborative workspace Ralph & Smith envisioned.
Throughout the project, we worked closely with Ralph & Smith to seamlessly integrate new Workagile pieces with the existing legacy furniture, ensuring a cohesive aesthetic that aligned with the IdeaSpace-inspired design concept — all whilst respecting budget constraints and the practical challenges of refurbishing an occupied building.

The Solution: MiiBox Acoustic Pods
Using a selection of our MiiBox range, including Phonebooth, Workpod and 2 person, we were able to create a more dynamic workspace. These acoustic pods allowed for a concentrated work area where collaboration and focus could thrive, strengthening relationships and the work they produced. With a clean and modern finish, these pods were customised in order to fit seamlessly into the University. Opting for black frames, paired with bold red seating, these acoustic pods definitely made an impact, both with function and beauty.

Outcome
“The new office has not only improved productivity but has also elevated the morale of our team. Clients visiting our space are equally impressed, often commenting on how welcoming and modern it feels.” – Sam Pringle I Chief Financial Officer I Cambridge Enterprise
Our contribution helped bring to life a variety of new multifunctional areas, including Focus Project and Meeting Rooms, informal Collaboration spaces, a Business Lounge adjacent to the events area, and a contemporary Tea point designed to encourage interaction and movement throughout the building. Earning positive feedback from visitors, this new refurbishment has proven to be a successful endeavour, one that Workagile have been proud to be a part of.
